AFYP Musical Showcase – Mulan, Jr. - Costumes, Hair and Makeup Spring 2017

ALL ACTORS: Please bring in a black long sleeve t-shirt (no shirts with collars) and black pants (no shorts, material you can move in is preferable to jeans, if possible). You will wear this under the pieces AFYP is providing.

SHOES: All actors should wear black dance shoes OR black closed-toe, secure shoes you can dance in (sneakers are not acceptable!).

BASE COSTUME: You should arrive to your assigned dress rehearsal and the days of performances wearing your base costume: a white cami/tank top (girls) OR white sleeveless undershirt (boys) and black shorts, to be worn underneath of your costume. DO NOT BRING THESE IN BEFORE THE DRESS REHEARSAL.

Please LABEL ALL ITEMS WITH YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME, and BRING THEM IN A BAG ALSO LABELED WITH YOUR NAME!

HAIR AND MAKEUP

MALE CHARACTERS

HAIR: Low bun (if hair is long enough) OR low ponytail (only if hair is too short for a low bun) OR gelled straight back (if you have a traditional boys’ haircut). Hair should not be parted.

MAKEUP: Base and light blush

FEMALE CHARACTERS

HAIR: Top bun (if hair is long enough) OR half up/ half down (only is hair is too short for a top bun) OR gelled straight back (if you have a pixie cut). Hair should not be parted.

MAKEUP: Base, light blush, and light lip color
